Less than two weeks after a Nigeria cab driver was shot dead in Washington DC another one has been killed...this time in New York.
54 year old Orji Ama Uro from Ekoli Edda, Ebonyi State, was brutally stabbed in the eye with an umbrella after dropping off two people, a man and a woman, in Brooklyn around 5pm on Thursday June 13th. The point of the umbrella pierced Ama Uro's brain, killing him.
Eye witnesses told police that the man and woman came down from the cab on Thomas S. Boyland St. in Brownsville and immediately started arguing with the cab driver. The man, believed to be in his 20s, then stabbed Uro in the right eye with an umbrella, piercing his brain. Continue...
Uro lost control of his vehicle, drove onto the sidewalk, and crashed into two parked vehicles. (pictured above). He managed to get out of his car then collapsed. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His killer and his companion are yet to be arrested, though a $5,000 reward has been offered for any information leading to the suspects’ arrest.

BBA latest: Nigeria’s Melven leads house in new task
By:

On: 06:13
This week the Housemates have a Task that they felt was confusing. In
the Diamond House, HoH Melvin had to read the details of the Task at
least three times for his fellow Housemates to understand it.
Melvin led the bunch and suggested that they decide on a reasonable Wager. The Diamonds settled on 100 percent Wager yet again, in good faith that their presentation will be a success, like it was last week.
The Task: This week’s Task is an inter-house competition between the Diamonds, Rubies and Emeralds.
Housemates will have to bake, write poetry and do artwork for their Presentation. The House that impresses Biggie will win the inter-house Task and their Wager. Biggie is not the only judge this week.
Once in the Diary Room, Melvin reported to Biggie that his team decided to Wager their all in an attempt to win as much back. The overall fear and curiosity is still the mystery of the Emerald House, the tough part being that they are competing against Housemates they don’t even know. This however didn’t deter the Rubies from motivating each other and keeping their eyes on the prize.
Poor Housemates don’t know that Biggie is pulling yet another trick on them by letting them think there’s a third House. Keep the spirit Chasers, this is just the beginning.
Annabel, Biguesas, Natasha, Neyll and Pokello are up for possible Eviction this week.
